Massage
Touch has been the basis of healing since early times. Massage Therapy uses touch of different pressures, depth, angles, and speeds to affect the soft tissue of the body. The result is relaxation of the body and mind, reduction of pain, and increase in circulation. This in turn can increase the effectiveness of other body systems and can help in the overall balance of the human being. Each massage is designed specifically for each person, adjusting pressure and depth of touch.

Hot Stone Massage
Stones have had a place throughout history as significant relics, tools, and monuments. Using hot stones to assist in bodywork has been going on since ancient times. In this treatment many stones of different sizes are heated to a soothing temperature. Oil is applied to the client's body and warm stones are used to massage and soften the muscles. Stationary stones are placed on the energy centers of the body to help energize these areas. Gemstones can also be used to help with balancing the energy centers. Overall the experience is soothing, warming, calming, and opening.

Pregnancy and Post-Partum Massage
Pregnancy is a beautiful and life changing process. The body is going through constant change creating and supporting the life growing inside. Hormones act on the mother's body affecting how her body works and feels. Emotionally the mother can be excited, happy, nervous, scared, or tired. Although this is an amazing transformation, it can be stressful in physical and mental ways. This is where massage can be extremely beneficial. By massaging the mother, her pains and aches decrease, her nervous system calms, and she will overall feel incredibly at peace. The more time the mother spends feeling calm and happy, the chances increase of a healthy pregnancy, and a smooth birthing experience.
After birth there are several aches and pains and adjustments that the body is going through, from the birthing process itself and from carrying and holding the newborn child, and baby supplies. The mother's life has changed considerably because she is learning how to care for a brand new being in her life. Massage can help the mother and her body and mind through this wonderful transition in life. A happy peaceful mother is a great mother.
During these massages Cara communicates with the client to find out what they need and designs the massage specifically for each person.

Foot Reflexology
Reflexology is a treatment that is based on several body therapies. Areas on the bottom of the feet correspond to areas of the body. By treating these areas on the feet the body is assisted in regaining equilibrium. During the treatment you will feel an inching motion of pressure along the areas of your feet. You will be suprised at how relaxed you will become. Cara offers a basic foot reflexology session that addresses generalized problem areas related to what is happening in your body.

Reiki
Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese Christian educator, discovered Reiki in Japan in the late 1800's. His revelations paved the way for its emergence in the United States and the rest of the world. Based on ancient Buddhist and Hindu teachings, Dr. Usui evolved a system of healing through study, research, and meditation. He practiced and taught this method of natural healing using the laying on of hands.
It is thought that the Reiki Practitioner’s body is a channel for the energy that is the healing influence. The energy is intelligent and will go where it is needed. The practioner allows the energy to flow, and the rest is taken care of by the energy itself.
Treatments can be used to facilitate physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. The client is fully clothed for the treatment. Generally, full Reiki treatments involve the practitioner moving his/her hands through a series of positions on the client’s body. Reiki treatments usually take an hour to an hour and a half, but short treatments can also be effective.
Cara is currently trained at Level I Reiki and can perform in person hands on Reiki treatments.
